Commissioner's Comments

After only 2 weeks in the SFL - There is some grumbling with at least five team managers. One manager's grumbling is very justified as you will learn by reading further.

Sweet Meat and the Kegs Killers battled to save face this week. They are two of the three highest scoring teams in the league. The Killers were looking for their first victory so they played their strong hand with Jamal Lewis with 295 yards rushing and 27 points, giving the Killers the second highest score of the week of 65 points. But it wasn't enough to defeat the sirloin cut of Sweet Meat, with a trump card of his own called Darrell Jackson, also with 27 points, and Hasselbeck with 22 points. Sweet Meat floated the Keg with a total of 69 points. This is a tough lager to swallow for the Kegs - 3rd highest overall points in the league and a 0-2 record. *** The Angry Accountants defeated the Cowboys 49-27, holding the SFL Cowboys to a record of 0-2 unlike the 1-1 record of the NFL Cowboys. The Accountants accomplished this feat after making more transaction in a single week than the entire history of his team in the Fantasy League, without spending a dime. *** Team SMTM redefined their team name this week as they faced Brad's Bombers. This rookie team took their first victory with a 49-43 final score. Redefinition - Started Making The Move. *** The Educators have again learned that a lesson taught is not necessarily a lesson learned. It appears that Bobby's BullDozers know only two lessons, destroy and victory, as they defeated the Educators 42-24. *** The Spot and the Sprouts went head to head this week. When the smoke had cleared the Elm Sprouts were trimmed to a 1-1 record as Smokey Spot defeated them 41-31.

Any free agency Transactions henceforth will require a fee. I can tell you at least one item to go on the agenda for next season's pre-draft meeting. I do not like this second chance draft for some teams to redraft the whole team for free.
