Commissioner's Comments

With only one week left in regular season, there are finally some definite seeds in the Playoff Picture. Last week it was stated that the Sweet Meat were not Show Boats... I take it back. They Are!!! Clinton Portis has the highest single game score in SFL History with 45 points. The Dozers left a 28 point player sitting on the bench... but he didn't need it this week, they played the Spot.  Smokey Spot was 7-3 and has since lost four games in a row.

 

Sweet Meat Wins the Bottom division and has the number 1 seed.

The Angry Accountants will lead the Top division with the Number 2 seed

 

The 3rd and 4th seed are undetermined.  Smokey Spot cannot get into the playoffs after this weeks loss, even if both: Smokey defeats the Killers in week 15 AND the BullDozers lose to the Elm Sprouts. The reason is because the BullDozers beat Smokey in a tie breaker with more divisional wins. (Head to Head was split) However, if Smokey Spot defeats the Killers and the Dozers win in week 15, the Killers and Dozers split in Head to Head, but the Dozers will have more divisional wins over the Killers and the Dozers will be the 3rd seed, all other scenarios will place Keg's Killers in 3rd seed and the BullDozers in 4th seed.

 

All other teams will be battling for $$ in a game by game basis @ $20 per game. (Originally agreed @ $30 per game but there was a team that did not pay this year. I assure you THIS will not happen again.) All other payouts will have to be recalculated after ALL games have been played. It is sad that that has happened, and I apologize.

 

Schedules for the playoff games in weeks 16 & 17 will be determined and posted after week 15. The Meat will play seed 4 and the Accountants will play seed 3 in week 16. Loser Cash playoff schedule will be determined in a 6 seed set based on record where 1 plays 6, 2 plays 5, and 3 plays 4.
